All Saints Lutheran Church Prayer Team
“Pray without ceasing” ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:17
The Prayer Team consists of volunteers from our congregation who are available to pray for particular concerns. The Prayer Team is a confidential ministry; prayer requests are not shared with others or automatically printed in the church announcements. The Prayer Team meets on teh first Wednesday of the month at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Anyone can initiate a prayer request for the Prayer Team. If you have a concern for yourself, or if you know of someone else who needs prayer (need not be a congregation member), Prayer Team volunteers are available to support you in prayer. All you need to do is make one phone call, and the prayer request will be passed to all the other pray-ers. Anyone can serve on the Prayer Team. If you feel called to pray for others in their time of need, please contact the office at 505-898-3932 so that we can add you to our list. You will get an e-mail or phone call periodically asking you to pray for particular concerns.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:4–7
14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. ~ 1 John 5:14-15
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. ~ Ephesians 6:18
Prayer is always an appropriate response to a situation! It is appropriate to contact the Prayer Team whenever a situation arises that you would feel could be helped by prayer.
Fill out a yellow Care Needs form, e-mail the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 505-898-3932, and we will pass along your prayer request to the Prayer Team volunteers.
